Thank you for your interest in adding a slide to the FATV bulletin board.

To begin, please fill out the form below.

We recommend that any slides that are submitted for the bulletin board meet the following technical standards:

  • The aspect ratio of the image should be 16:9, the same aspect ratio as High Definition Television

  • The resolution of the image should be 1920x1080 (1,920 pixels wide, 1,080 pixels tall)

To be eligible to submit information to the bulletin board you must be either:

  • a) a private citizen submitting information about a non-commercial event or gathering that is not sponsored by any other group or organization* (i.e. you must be the organizer or a designated representative thereof);

  • b) an educational institution* submitting information about a school- sponsored noncommercial event or service

  • c) a government agency* submitting information about a government-sponsored noncommercial event or service

  • d) a bona fide non-profit agency* submitting information about a non-commercial event or service
    * FATV reserves the right to request supporting documentation.

We recommend that your slide should be kept to 40 words or fewer listing only the pertinent portions of “who, what, where, and when.” In addition, contact information for those seeking additional information should be provided. FATV reserves the right to edit or refuse announcements.

Slides promoting events should be submitted at least two weeks before the event. It may take up to three business days for your slide to begin running.

A reminder that your slide must NOT contain the following:

  • Advertising

  • Programming that benefits a business or profession

  • Submissions made by for-profit commercial entities

  • Solicitation/appeal for funds or other things of value

  • Political endorsements or campaign messages (excluding those provided for in FATV Policies and Regulations Chapter I, Section P – Political Campaigning)

  • Any material that violates any Federal, State, or Local law, including, but not limited to, gambling, obscenity, and pornography

Violation of FATV guidelines and/or making false or misleading statements in any FATV document or to an FATV employee may subject the user to immediate forfeiture of the privilege of using FATV channels. FATV channels will not be made available to any user who refuses to have his/her identity maintained in the records and available for public inspection as required by law.

Users of FATV are fully responsible and liable for all material submitted by the user for cablecasting on these channels. All users submitting material for cablecast shall agree, as a condition of the cablecast, to hold harmless FATV, its Directors, Officers, Employees, and its agents from all claims, suites, actions, loss, liability and damage, including, but not limited to attorney's fees and costs, arising out of, or caused by the cablecast of the user's submission, including, but not limited to, libel, slander, invasion of privacy or public rights, unauthorized use of copyright material or non-compliance with any applicable local, State, or Federal laws. Submitting the application is an acknowledgement that the user accepts full responsibility for the total content of their material to be cablecast including obtaining all copyright clearances, talent releases, other clearances, rights or licenses involved in the user's programming and that the user agrees to the forgoing.

Fitchburg Access Television, Inc. (FATV), a private, independent, non-profit corporation, administers the PEG (Public, Educational, and Governmental) channels on the cable system in Fitchburg. FATV is not owned nor operated by the City or the cable operator.
