1 This legislative body currently meets outside of the Legislative Building. There is no live coverage, but the meeting will usually be available on-air and on-demand within 24-48 hours.

The centerpiece of our Government Channel is our meeting coverage. Courtesy of our partnership with the City of Fitchburg, we are able to provide live coverage of meetings from the Legislative Building on 700 Main Street. In the Legislative Building, we have six cameras that we can use to cover the entirety of the chambers, which can be controlled and operated by just one person. Integration with Zoom and multiple big-screen TVs allow for remote participation and easy sharing of documents to the meeting officials and the audience.

FATV coverage includes live broadcasts of many of the legislative bodies which meet in the Legislative Building. Please refer to the City of Fitchburg Website to confirm meeting dates and times. Our coverage includes:

  • City Council (2nd and 4th Tuesday, 7pm), and its Committees

    • Finance Committee (2nd and 4th Wednesday, 6pm)

    • Appointments Committee (2nd and 4th Tuesday, 6:45pm)

    • Public Works Committee (last Tuesday of the month, 5pm)

    • Economic Development Committee (as needed)

    • Legislative Affairs Committee (as needed)

    • Public Safety Committee (as needed)

    • City Property Committee (as needed)

    • Council as a Whole Committee (as needed)

  • School Committee (1st and 3rd Monday, 6pm)

  • Airport Commission (3rd Wednesday, 6pm)

  • Board of Health (1st Thursday, 4pm)

Live coverage is also produced for Special Meetings as needed by legislative bodies. We also assist in facilitating and producing remote coverage of the Agricultural Commission (1st Tuesday of even-numbered months, 6:30pm) and Trustees of Public Burial Grounds (3rd Thursday, 9am).
